House cleaning in Canada typically costs $155–$300+ per visit for a standard home, depending on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, service type, and city. In Toronto and the GTA, most professional cleaning companies use flat-rate pricing based on home configuration.
This guide covers what you can actually expect to pay — with real prices, not ranges pulled from thin air.

What Does Cleaning Cost in Other Canadian Cities?
Toronto runs higher than most Canadian markets. Here’s a rough regional comparison for a typical 3-bedroom home:
| City | Typical Regular Clean (3 bedrooms) |
|---|---|
| Toronto / GTA | $195 – $250 |
| Ottawa | $175 – $220 |
| Vancouver | $190 – $235 |
| Calgary | $160 – $195 |
| Edmonton | $150 – $185 |
| Montreal | $155 – $190 |
| Halifax | $140 – $170 |
Toronto pricing reflects higher labour costs and overhead. GTA suburbs (Mississauga, Brampton, Markham) typically land in the same tier as Toronto.
How Service Type Affects Price
Regular Maintenance Cleaning
This is the standard visit — bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living areas, floors. Suited for homes cleaned on a recurring schedule. Prices in the table above apply.
Recurring clients (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) receive discounted rates versus one-time bookings. The more often we clean, the less work each visit requires.
Deep Cleaning
A deep clean goes further: inside appliances, baseboards, light fixtures, grout lines, behind furniture. We recommend it for first-time clients or homes that have not had a professional clean in three or more months. Add $100 to the regular cleaning rate for your home configuration.
Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning
A move-in or move-out clean is the most thorough service — empty home, every cabinet interior, all appliances, every corner. The goal is a spotless handover. Get a quote for your specific situation.
Post-Renovation Cleaning
Post-renovation is a separate category entirely. Construction dust, adhesive residue, paint splatter, and debris require different equipment and significantly more time. Contact us directly for a quote on post-reno work.
What Is Included in a Standard Cleaning?
Our standard cleaning checklist covers:
- All bedrooms: dusting surfaces, vacuuming, making beds
- Bathrooms: toilet, sink, tub/shower, mirror, floors
- Kitchen: counters, stovetop, sink, exterior of appliances, cabinet fronts
- Living and dining areas: dusting, vacuuming or mopping floors
- Hallways and stairs
Not included by default: inside oven, inside fridge, windows, laundry, or dishes. These are available as add-ons when you book.
Flat-Rate vs. Hourly Pricing
Flat-rate: You know the cost before we arrive. The team is accountable to completing the job to standard, not just logging hours. No surprises on the invoice.
Hourly: Can work for partial cleans or unusually large homes. Risk: a solo cleaner at a low hourly rate often costs more in total than a two-person flat-rate team that finishes faster.
Ask every company upfront: Is this flat-rate or hourly, and what exactly is included?
